Hello and welcome to Class 6!
In Class 6, our adults are Miss Green and Mrs Barker. We’re really excited for the new school year and have lots of exciting learning planned for this half term.
Things to Remember
Wednesday and Friday – PE Kit
Friday – Spelling battle
You can change your book on any day of the week.
Our PE days are Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure you have your full PE kit on these days including trainers.
Spellings are tested every Friday when we compete (and hopefully win) the whole school Spelling Battle!
Children are expected to read at home, practise their spellings and their times tables at home each week. Home Reading can be logged on BOOM READER.
We LOVE reading. We have a selection of level-appropriate books in our classroom for you to choose from. It is expected that you read at home at least three times a week. Whenever you need to change your book, bring it back to school and swap it for one on the same colour band. You will be able to log your at home reading on BOOM READER!
In Year 4, it is expected that children know all of tables up to 12. We have access to the app TTRockstars which children can access at home for extra practise. There will soon be a whole school times table competition! Make sure you are practising at home so that you are ready to win. There will be prizes for both attainment and effort!!
In Geography, we are learning about towns and cities. We are also focusing on drawing in art, Sikhism in RE, e-safety in Computing and Light and Shadow in Science.
