Home Learning

Supporting home learning for pupils unable to attend school

We will use Seesaw as the platform to support home learning. We envisage there being two scenarios when we will need to utilise Seesaw to support home learning:

  1. If a child is shielding or has tested positive for Coronavirus, but is well. In these circumstances, teachers will upload daily Reading, Spag and Maths learning. The teacher will respond to the child’s work via Seesaw.
  2. When a class are not in school due to an outbreak, bubble closure or local lockdown. In such circumstances, teachers will run a full day of lessons on Seesaw. Lessons will be posted throughout the day and teachers will respond to learning.

A range of tasks, activities and worksheets will support learning and progress. Teachers will use a variety of approaches as they would in normal classroom practice.

If you do not have a suitable computer/tablet to use at home to access Seesaw, school will make alternative arrangements with you so that all children are able to continue with their learning at home in the event of self-isolation or school closure.

Teachers will continue to also use Seesaw to set weekly homework.

Please contact school if you have any concerns about your child’s home learning.
