Hello Class 8, I hope you are all well and had a good half term. The weather was great so I hope you had some nice outside time. It’s now time to get back to work and so I would like to start off by saying a big well done to the following children who have done great work on: IXL: William, Evie, Oliver, Liam, Eva, Julia and Luke. EPIC: Olivia, Luke Isabella and Oliver. Spelling Shed: Isabella, Luke, Scarlett, Oliver, Maddison, Liam and Eva.
SPAG/Literacy Over half term, I have been looking at some alternative SPAG/Literacy ideas which are easy to follow on line. I thought you might like to have a look at the Oak Academy lessons. These are very easy to follow and have a whole week of work for each subject. Year 4 English this week is a unit of work about Character descriptions and Year 5 is writing an alternative ending for a traditional story. There’s lots to get stuck into so why don’t you have a go? Let me know if you do, and whether you found it interesting. Maths Remember, WhiteRose have changed their resources. You can watch the videos but we are unable to access the worksheets. However, if you use BBC Bitesize, they are following the White Rose Scheme. So, what I suggest you do, is watch the video on White Rose then go onto BBC and find the activities – there are some videos on the BBC too. Year 5 Maths: multiplying fractions and fractions of amounts. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/tags/zhgppg8/year-5-and-p6-lessons/1 Year 4 Maths: adding and subtracting fractions and fractions of amounts. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-4/ https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/tags/z63tt39/year-4-and-p5-lessons/1

Mrs Merrills has been putting work on the website for you all to do. There is a PHSE tab underneath all the class tabs. It would be great if you had a go at some of the work, and even better if you could email me some and I will send it onto her. Thanks
